Who we are

Tembeka Advisory ("we", "us") is a South African advisory firm with offices at Spaces Waterfall, 1st Floor, Gateway West, Waterfall, Midrand. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this notice.

What this notice covers

This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have in relation to it. It is written to meet our obligations under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Information we collect

We collect personal information that you give us directly. Through this website, that is limited to the enquiry form, where we ask for:

• your full name;
• your organisation and your role or title;
• your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your telephone number;
• the area of interest and engagement type you select; and
• the content of the message you write.

We do not require special personal information, and we ask that you do not include confidential client data, financial records or information about identifiable third parties in an initial enquiry.

Why we process it

We process this information to respond to your enquiry, to assess whether we are the appropriate firm for the matter, and to maintain a record of business enquiries received. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in conducting business correspondence.

We do not use enquiry information for marketing unless you separately ask to receive our insights, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Sharing

Personal information submitted through this website is accessible to the people within Tembeka Advisory who need it to respond to you. It may also be processed by the service providers that operate our website hosting and email systems, who act as operators on our instruction and under an obligation of confidentiality.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for no longer than is necessary to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up, after which they are deleted. Where an enquiry leads to an engagement, the information becomes part of the client record and is retained in line with our professional and statutory record-keeping obligations.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access and unlawful processing. This website is served over an encrypted connection, access to enquiry records is restricted, and we review our arrangements with service providers.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent that you have given. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@tembeka.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set cookies for advertising or tracking, and does not profile visitors.

Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request and the visitor's IP address in order to serve the font files.
